Natasha Adams-Young is the real person Susan Hartunian is based. She was a friend of Jesse Rugge's and after learning of Nick's kidnapping she was the only one who seemed concerned, but Rugge assured her that Nick would be going home. After reading about Nick's death in the newspaper, she confronted Rugge and asked if he had anything to do with it. Although he said he didn't she knew he was lying and told her father, who told the police. She was given immunity in exchange for her testimony.
